Welcome to Early Years
Early Years Timetable
PE is Friday afternoon – full time children need pumps in a labelled PE bag from September.
After February Half term full time children need a white t shirt, navy shorts and pumps all labelled and in their PE bag.
Homework is given out on a Friday and returned on Wednesday. Homework bags need to be placed in the correct box just inside Early Years from the cloakroom – red for part time children and blue for full time children.
Children will be given a reading book in a bag with their name on. It will also say what day they need to bring their bag back. This needs to be put on the correct peg on the correct day as you come into Early Years from the cloakroom. On the child’s reading day they will have their words checked and new words will be given if they are ready for them and they will also read and be given a new reading book.
A Kirklees Music specialist teacher called Mrs Greenwell comes into every Wednesday. She comes into Early Years and in their groups the children take part in Melody Tots lessons from 9.00-9.30. Parents are welcome to stay for this session with their children.
In early years we acted out the story of Zacchaeus
As part of our topic the children are raising chickens - click on our baby chicks below to whatch the chickens progress and maybe some hatching.
